Weathering the Storm

  Port Bernese, 13:15. The southern border of Charlottesburg gave way to this bustling port town. With a land full of beasts and men, the sea continued to have strange, edible creatures that ranged from the common food to rare delicacies. The strongest seafarers walked these streets, and they made sure to let everyone know how tough they were, sea OR land. Whether it be tests of strength, intimidation, or the number of partners they've had since docking, Port Bernese was quickly deemed as a 'Hooligan's Paradise'. Such a title was embraced, and all knew that the sea-farers were the toughest around. However, even the greatest sailor pauses when they sense a change in weather. Seeing Red ft. Madame Noir

  Where there is light, so to is darkness.  This was true, even in the bright and sunny town of Charlottesburg.  Deep in the north east, far from the bright beach town, was the Charles Forest.  Covered in tall trees that block out the Sun, the Forest was said to be ‘Eternal Night’ by many of the locals.  For that reason, the forest had been left alone, save for the particularly brave.  Many dive in, and many don’t get far before returning...or disappearing. As such, many would not be aware that deep within this forest stood a Mansion, which weathered the test of time.  Windows broken, and parts of it reclaimed by nature, one would rightly believe it was an abandoned home...but if one were to sate their curiosity, they would find that seeing isn’t always believing. Juniper DeGracie is a savant on the pavement.  When she's on the streets, Juniper hops on her board and tears it up with grace and awesomeness. Sadly, the retired professional knew that her age couldn't be ignored forever. All it would take is one bad spill for one of her hips to be gone for good.  Thankfully for her, she already has a solution in mind. "OHHHH SHIIIIIT!!" "Now, let's stay relaxed," Deacon said calmly to the senior squirrel floating on her back. "Be calm, and let the water hold you." He hoped to be as soothing as possible to the old woman - she was clearly uncomfortable with the idea of simply floating.  Deacon, as a wandering priest, knew early on that busking out on the streets does not pay any bills.  Thankfully, he found a perfect opportunity to rectify this by joining up at  Snake Edge gym, a beach-side center for working  out and other health related activities.  The fact that she was trying it despite her bad knee warmed Deacon's heart, which had him offer a free course for a couple of days.      The old Squirrel squeaked as soon as she felt water tickle the corner of her eye.
